My 6-year-old loves Hannah Montana. We don't own a TV, so she gets her fix from the girl down the street. But when she dug up a blurb on Miley Cyrus in Time magazine the other day (don't worry: she's not pregnant after all!), and then my wife and I learned that tickets to her current concert are going for, like, thousands of dollars, we decided it was time to investigate.
It turns out that Dobson is awesome. He's exactly what I want: someone reliably more conservative than me who is willing to watch all of the crap that's out there and give me little blurbs on it all. It turns out that Hannah Montana is fairly innocuous, unlike, say, Brother Bear, about which Dobson's Plugged In magazine has this to say:
If the eco-pantheism of Pocahontas could be quantifiably boiled down and deposited in a container, that, let’s say, filled a quart canning jar, then this film’s spiritualism would fill an oil drum.
Thank you, Dr. Dobson, that's exactly what I needed to know.
Going Amish is a viable option, but if you decide against it, then Dobson is a big help.
