I'd like to see families do a little bible study together during the weeks of advent. I heard there were resources on this website, but am not sure where. Anyone?
Hello, dbates. Just got a msg in my inbox about a free Advent bible studdy offered by Scripture Union that egins on Nov 30 and ends on..ta da!!! Christmas Day of course. Here's the website: http://scriptureunion.gospelcom.net/Adve... While it's not specifically for families, it can easily be tweaked to do that. Also google "Jesse Trees"--this can be a great multi-intelligence experience for families as you craft an ornament, read the bible verse and pray together each night. Need something less demanding? Try the beauty of the Advent wreath in your home. We light ours at dinner every night and we do short bible readings and prayers. Candlelight dinners are wonderful for everyone. Additional Advent resources for purchase can be found at http://www.ctainc.com/ They've got some simple booklets for families that are well-done. Good luck and blessed Advent!
Hello again. For whatever reason, your query has stuck in my mind. Another great source for Advent stuff for families and churches is Creative Communications catalog--store this info for Lent as well. https://catholic.creativecommunications....
